Kaye Lewis — Personally
I’m
a 4 th generation native Texan trying to figure out how I landed
in CT nearly 20 years ago! I still haven’t found a proper Tex-Mex
restaurant, but I’m not giving up yet. Let me know if you have
a suggestion!
I have a family of 4 living at home now; and my husband, Jeff, and
I are trying to survive 2 teenage girls simultaneously. Jeff has
2 adult sons (one in Texas, one in LA) who have been a big part of
my life for our 17 years of marriage. We have 3 Bernese Mountain
Dogs, 2 cats and 2 Thoroughbreds, so we spend lots of time with our
pets—Jeff says we need to find a hobby that involves less ‘poop’.
We entertain regularly being resolute “foodies,” experimenting
with various styles of cuisine in our always busy kitchen, and we
enjoy traveling together as a family.

May 2004, Alex's USC graduation |
Our kids have seen Brazil, China, France, Italy, Norway, Spain,
Germany, and much of the US. We consider it a valued part of their
education in our current global community. Our favorite family vacations
have been bareboat sailing in the BVI’s and a 100 mile equestrian
trek through Provence. (My girls now love goat cheese!) Our next
big trip (yet to be scheduled) will be another South African safari,
this time with the kids.
